Another confession of a shopaholic

ANOTHER CONFESSION OF A SHOPAHOLIC

After my first experience with movie Sex and the City or Confession of a Shopaholic, I found interesting how some of us are addicted to shopping. I realized that I’m addicted also. I still want to buy something new, even when I know that my wardrobe is full and there is no place for new clothes. I still follow new fashion trends and articles about fashion. Even few minutes ago I was browsing on e-shops with clothes however I don’t need anything particular. Just to waste my time or just to make myself happy. Yes, this is also confession.

I think that many of shopaholics are those people who follow the newest trends, want to be fashionable and trendy; those who know how exciting that feeling is when you buy something new and everybody adore you. This was also one of the reasons why I decided to see Sex and the City nevertheless I didn’t like Sarah Jessica Parker in the main role. These kinds of movies are like fashion shows for all of us. You don’t need to go anywhere; you don’t need to book your tickets, nothing like this. It’s just about you and your TV.

WHY DID I DECIDE TO WATCH THOSE MOVIES?

First reason is that I was bored and I wanted to see something nice and simple. And those movies are nice and simple. No difficult plot. They are exactly that kind of movies you're looking for when you want to relax your mind. I was overworked, tired of long cold days so I longed for something like this.

Seconds reason is that these kinds of movies are like fashion show. And I wanted inspiration; I just wanted to see trends and new ways how to dress myself.

I WANT HER WARDROBE!

To be honest after few minutes of Sex and the City or Confession of a Shopaholic I said: “I want their wardrobe! “ How do they do that, they are always adorable and fashionable, simply perfect? I don’t know whether Sarah Jessica Parker or Isla Fisher are in their private life also so stylish, but I know that Patricia Field and Derek Moreno did a great job!

But for me it’s impossible to wear everyday another costume by Prada, Valentino etc. So I decided to make it cheaper and easier for my wallet. I looked for shops with nice clothes and cheap prices in cities where I live and e-shops. I found some really cheap and good sites, so I started browsing and spending my money. And every time when I received new box with my order I was the happiest person. Now I know how stupid I was, because these things are in my wardrobe with the other ones waiting whether I decide to wear them again.

NEXT TIME- IS IT REALLY NECESSARY?

I told myself that next time I should or better I have to ask myself whether it is really necessary or do I really need this shirt, jeans etc. I know that one day, sooner or later, I’ll break this promise and buy something absolutely useless, just to make myself happy. Just to wear it once and then bury it somewhere underneath my wardrobe. Just to be pretty, adorable, fashionable again. Just to see myself on lookbook? Just to be a fashion icon.
